Worth the money, worth the peace of mind that if something goes wrong they will fix it. And they have great customer service for hardware and software problems. With such a highly used piece of equipment this business model makes a lot of sense to me. We have used digital sensors for decades and were a little skeptical to move away from the traditional model of purchasing sensors with no monthly commitment.  When old sensors stopped working we decided to give Jazz a try and signed up for 6 Solo sensors and the Jazz club.  It’s been almost 3 years since our decision and about 14 months into our relationship with Jazz, two more of our traditional sensors stopped working so we added 2 more Solo sensors and Jazz club for a total of 8 Jazz sensors!  They still look great and having one sensor in each room has been a game changer.

We’re still very pleased with the quality of images, quick and friendly service help (mostly just to install the sensors - very rare to have an issue). Patient feedback has been positive - who would have thought that taking the corners off of the sensor would make such a nice difference for the patient and maintain a full image for us?!

Some sensor holders have become brittle and need to be replaced about every 6 months, more frequent than we’d hoped.

Overall, we’d purchase Jazz sensors again and based on our experience can wholeheartedly recommend them to you!

I bought my practice in October and adding a digital sensor was at the top of my list of things to do. I was attracted to the option to lease as I had a lot of expenses having just gone through the practice acquisition. It’s affordable, and the image quality is great.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Jazz imaging sensor, believe it’s called solo as it’s the adult size, is amazing! In the past, my patients would gag and choke on my old Shick sensor, but the same patients are fine with the Jazz sensor. It connects seamlessly to my Eaglesoft, software, and images are crisp and clean and easily read. I especially like the fact, that because I am renting the sensor, it can be replaced at no charge.  the Shick sensor, I purchased,  was $8000 to replace when it broke.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Have two different dental offices with two different practice management systems (Carestream & Dentrix). During the pandemic I decided to unify under a single cloud based PMS (Curve Dental). Was using my old sensors with Curve when they eventually stopped working. Upon looking for sensors that are compatible with Curve, I found Jazz Imaging. Definitely glad that I did.

Assistants and patients seem to like these sensors over my old Dexis and Kodak ones, the corners are rounded so they don't dig into the roof/floor of the mouth. Image quality is great, comparable to my old Dexis sensors. Your results may vary depending on what imaging software you are using.

The subscription program is probably best in my opinion, because sensors are continually breaking down with consistent use. There are just so many connections that can break whether it be at the USB or sensor end of the wire. But with the subscription, if one malfunctions, you just send it to Jazz and get a new one. No need to decide whether to repair or buy a used model from a reseller to save a few thousand bucks. In the long run over the course of years of practice, the subscription cost will even out with purchasing your own sensors, but there is definitely less headache overall on my part.
