Founder / CEO – Jazz Imaging
WHY I DID IT
“I developed sensors for Dexis & Gendex for a decade. Great products, but Doctors felt they were overcharged and not supported well. They demanded an alternative… so I started Jazz Imaging”

We are Jazz Imaging
Todd founded Jazz Imaging in 2014 with a vision to bring premium imaging to the dental market at an affordable price. Todd’s background in medical imaging dates back to 2001, when working at Siemens Medical Systems. Beginning in 2003, Todd managed dental imaging programs for Fairchild Imaging, including development, production, quality control and P&L for notable products for Dexis, Gendex and Sirona. Todd has an engineering and business background with a BS, MS in engineering as well as an MBA, all from UC Berkeley.
Prior to Jazz, Kumar headed Manufacturing Engineering at Fairchild Imaging and has over 29 years of experience with scientific, medical and dental cameras. Kumar was instrumental in production of the world’s first digital intraoral sensor for Trophy, followed by dental sensors for Sirona, Dexis and Gendex. Kumar holds an engineering degree from UC Berkeley.
Joining just prior to the launch of the SOLO sensor in 2016, Aaron brings over 25 years of sales, sales management and marketing experience between Silicon Valley startups, virtual training and dental imaging technology to JAZZ Imaging. Aaron’s first experience in digital radiography was with DEXIS in 2002 as a District Sales Manager and eventually a Regional Sales Manager for the West. His experience at startups like gForce, Docent and VirTra have helped shape the JAZZ brand and its sales and marketing efforts into the fastest growing sensor company in the US.
Karsten heads the engineering group at Jazz Imaging. He come to us from JAI, where he managed software teams for over 25 years in development of cameras for machine vision, medical imaging and traffic applications. Karsten possesses a breadth of knowledge in imaging processing and embedded systems. He balances this with a strong background in electronic and sensor design. Karsten holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University in Denmark.
