SOLO in Dexis Software
Jazz SOLO sensors work seamlessly in Dexis 9, 10 or 11 Imaging software, side by side with Dexis Platinum digital sensors. This means you will have no change in workflow. You do not need to purchase a TWAIN module from Dexis…guaranteed. What makes Jazz SOLO unique is that Dexis 9 will perform all of its proprietary image enhancements on SOLO images identically to the native Dexis digital sensor. All other replacement sensors use a TWAIN driver, which means DEXIS doesn’t import tooth location, import into templates or perform high quality enhancements.
Bottom line, if you have Dexis 9, 10 or 11 software you should either stay with Dexis or switch to Jazz SOLO. With all other sensors (Apex/Clio/Dentimax/VaTech/Sodium) using TWAIN you will have to pay Dexis for the TWAIN add-on and will see a serious degradation in image quality and workflow.
